The competition keeps the format introduced two seasons ago: 36 clubs in a single league table, each playing eight different opponents (four home, four away) between September and January. Then the classic knockout rounds run from March to the final in late May. League-phase nights use two slots: 18:45 CET and 21:00 CET (17:45 and 20:00 in the UK).
